PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT OF TWO NEIGHBORHOOD MUNICIPALITIES CULTURAL COOPERATION

Nis Municipality of Palilula and Bulgarian Municipality of Bobov Dol, supported by European Union and IPP programme, successfully presented the part of the programme Coul Tour.The national creativity presented of Ponisavlje and Serbia with the presentation of KUD Kovilje (Cultural Artistic Society) from Vukmanovo in BulgariaOn the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Bobov Dol Municipality, that was partner municipality to Nis Palilula on the project `CoulTour` within the programme of Crossborder cooperation Bulgaria-Serbia within IPP programme, president of Palilula Municipality Assembly Milos Stojkovic visited this Bulgarian Municipality.

Within artistic programme that was organized in the Cultural Hall of Bobov Dol Municipality, folk group KUD Kovilje from Vukmanovo presented its work. KUD Kovilje from village Vukmanovo was founded in 1977. In their repertoire they are showing customs, rituals, national dance, national original folk songs and music in the way our ancestors were doing in old times. All is authentic, autochthonic and without any stylization. Music is made on old and already forgotten music instruments like goch, bagpipes, flute and ocarina are and is played in the original folk costumes, what can now be seen only in museums.

From a small, unknown original group, KOVILJE today became one of the most original groups in the region and with its authentic program it is in the top-performing musical ensembles.

Guests from Serbia, Palilula Municipality, were welcomed by Kiril Stancev, president of the Municipality, and Ognjen Zarev, president of the Municipal Council Bobov Dol.

Congratulating the citizens and the leadership of the Municipality on their town celebration, Milos Stojkovic emphasized the expectations that cooperation between the two municipalities continue to expand and develop. "The role of local authorities in the cultural and economic development of our local communities, Stojkovic said, is very important. You have identified that and successfully achieve modern concept of development, which is our model on the process of European integrations.
,">Palilula Municipality, as a partner of Bobov Dol Municipality, worked on the restoration and reconstruction of Memorial Park "Bubanj" - the area around the Memorial place and an Amphitheater and as a part of the project has been realized also the publication "Guide to cultural and tourist attractions Municipalities Bobov Dol and Palilula 2012" in Serbian, Bulgarian and English. This project provides the exchange of artistic programs and cooperation of institutions and organizations of the two cities in the sphere of culture and tourism.
